How do you get cat urine smell out of a linoleum floor.?
MY CAT GOT JEALOUS WHEN A STRAY WAS LET IN A FEW MONTHS BACK. SHE PEED ON OUR KITCHEN FLOOR..AND WE BLEACHED IT FOR WEEKS..THINKING THAT WOULD WORK..TO NO AVAIL..WE CAN STILL SMELL IT. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE..PLEASE HELP. IT IS EMBARRASSING WHEN PEOPLE COME OVER. CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP..WE CAN'T BLEACH IT MUCH LONGER..THE FLOOR IS GETTING CLEANER..BUT THE SMELL IS HORRID.

Their is a really good cleaner available at Petco. It is called Nature's Miracles and it has a specific type especially for cat stains of all kinds. It contains a special enzyme that eats the organic materials causing the smell and it doesn't cost too much (about $9 for a large bottle). Just poor it on and let it sit so it can follow the natural path that the urine did and repeat if needed (I have never needed to repeat).

I hope everything works out for you!

Errg! They are vindictive little things aren't they? I've got two cats and they do the same thing. Some times they even throw up on purpose.

Bleach is not working because cat urine breaks down into ammonia which is in bleach. Try using 1 litre hot water with 2 table spoons eucalyptus oil, 2 table spoons tea tree oil and one capful of detergent. You can also get special animal urine smell eliminating sprays at pet stores which I hear are quite good.

If this doesn't work try "nil-odour" which is a concentrated odour neutraliser (one drop is really powerful) you can buy in any super market. It might not fix the smell but may cover it up.

    Hope this helps.
