When you mix bleach with ammonia you can get a toxic chemical reaction (much like the gas used in the holocaust). Do a search for "ammonia & bleach" and you'll find reports that will make you think before using strong chemicals in the home, and especially will make you stop before mixing cleaning products. Cat urine is ammonia based & will attract your cat back to pee again - so you can't use ammonia either - it'll make it waaaay worse! Now - cat urine out of carpet? This one is easy. I swear by a recipe I got which I make up myself when I need it. It's quick & easy to make & wont break the bank and best of all it uses stuff I already have at home. My aunt told me the best thing to do was pour a one liter bottle of gingerale right on the problem area and it really did the trick.
