We have three cats who we consider members of our family. I'm sure you feel similarly about your animal companions. We all want products that are good for us and our pets that are safe, natural and biodegradable. I found that this company carries the best products for complete odor and stain removal on the market http://www.goglo.com

Try "Earth Care Clear the Air Pet Odor Remover for Carpets and Upholstery" (here's a link to the product @ Petco - that is where I have bought it - http://www.petco.com/product/15081/Earth-Care-Clear-the-Air-Pet-Odor-Remover-for-Carpets-and-Upholstery.aspx)

Their products are safe for all fabric types. Earth Care sells several products for pet odor/urine removal, some go on the actual spot and others just hang in the room to absorb the odor. My mom uses them in her kennel.
References :
Personal experience

Cat urine contains fatty deposits which most cleaning products leave behind. Either use enzymatic products or make your own cleaning solution by mixing 10% biological (enzymatic) washing powder/liquid with warm water. Rinse thoroughly with cold water and let it dry naturally or speed things up using a hair dryer. Using a plant mister, lightly spray with surgical spirit from the chemist and work this into the fibres using a nail brush. (The surgical spirit will dislodge any of the fat deposits that the washing solution may have missed.) Allow to dry naturally. Test this on a hidden area of carpet as it may not be colourfast on more delicate fabrics.
References :
I have tried EVERYTHING too!
This is what has helped for me: OUT! Stain & Odor Remover. It can be purchased at Walmart of Kroger.
It's pretty good stuff and economical.
