I am a vet tech. and cat lover, whose raised many litters of exotic breeds.

Something I've used for many different reasons.... is coffee grounds.!!! Buy the cheapest kind, sprinkle it on the area, and let it sit for a day or two before vaccuuming.

Works on spilled sour milk in a car, too.

As for clothes, only thing I can think of is soaking in straight vinegar, then washing with an oxidizing detergent

There is nothing worse than your cat peeing all over stuff. I had this happen to me and there seemed to be no real cure. Sorry, I feel for you.
References :
There are many things i use to get rid of the urine smell. We have a problem at the moment with our cat peeing on the carpet and that is stumping me a little, but clothes are pretty simple. First, if you are able to with the fabric your clothing is made of, soak overnight in a mixture of bleach and lemon juice. If coloured material, use more lemon that bleach. Also, buy one of those pre laundry stain and odor removers. After soaking over night, spray the clothing with the laundry spray and put it in the wash on its own. That works well when they have been peeing on the material, but if it is just a general smell, then you need to look at where you are keeping your cothing in relation to where your cats do thier business. Are they peeing near your closet and the smell is just wafting in? Maybe a lavender bag in your closet may prevent the smell from being overpowering.
